| Anyone have any luck with with some off brands besides Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha on the kids quads? Hate to spend a fortune because they wil out grow it.
Looking to get the duaghter started this summer or next. I plan on doing a full tear down and rebuild so I know she would be safe on it and customize it a bit for her. Also has anyone purchased a remote control kill switch so I can have in on my quad or hand and be a distance from the machine?

| We use to have 3 new roketa atvs, 150cc, and to be honest, there was always something wrong with them. The engine in chinease atvs, though underpowered, are actually pretty good engines. What are so bad about them is all the other hardware | |

| My brother started out on the 90cc polaris preditor. Because it was the limited edition it came with the nerf bars, and fox shocks. With most of these smaller quads they have the governor so you could probably put that to use.
However if bought new this quad can be rather expensive.
It has been quite a reliable quad. Only problem he has had with it was a broken axle due to the larger scale jumps he was hitting.

| Kazuma and E ton are actually good brands I heard, if you are staying below the 90cc range, then almost all quads are dependable. Once you travel past the 100cc mark and the frames get bigger, thats when you run into trouble.. I dont think it would be any problem to buy your daughter any off name brand ATV as long as you stay under 90cc | |

| My cousin's kid had a Daisy, he picked it up about 4 years ago for $600.00. Honestly he is hard on his stuff and never maintains it (sits outside all the time, never changes the oil, etc.) and in 4 years we had to pull the carb off once to clean all the gum out of it and replace the spark plug and battery, it is electric start with kick backup.
That was it
It's not a bad runner for a 90cc ATV either. I am a big guy and it would pull me through most of my trails no problem.
It uses a Chinese repop of a polaris motor, probably a Fuji
His came with headlights, a horn, a tether, it was pretty decked out for 600 bucks

| they might be out of buisness now, these Chinese companies seem to come and go. Cycle City sells E ton, they and Kymco are the best next things compared to Name brands | |

| Actually, I may know of a (2006 or 2007 dont know off the top of my head) raptor 80 that might be going up for sale. The quad was owned by some grandparents who let there little grand kids go up and down a dirt road outside of there house. If it goes up for sale ill let you know
Reading some other forums, just look around, if you find a left over they will just want to get rid of it, and the sooner you go the better, because right now dealers are doing horrible business with ATVs because they are not in season, but the closer to spring we get, the better business the dealers will get, which means the less need for urgent money, which means not as good deals
